Greenpower Mobility: 11 Things You're Forgetting To Do

Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs manufactures and distributes an entire range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes school buses, cargo buses, and shuttles.

EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle with a high degree of personalization. It's also FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a class-leading range and ADA wheelchair accessibility. It also has cargo delivery setups.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor as well as low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate many different upfits and bodies for multiple applications. The platform's design philosophy of clean sheets allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and lower center of gravity, which results in higher payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated truck's one wall structure inside and higher insulation than traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo and a payload that is industry-leading to range for zero-emission freight or passenger transport.

GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will enable fleets to easily make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging up to 75 kW.

green power scooter  had the chance to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, and the EV9 does an excellent job of suppressing road noise and wind on the highway. The acceleration is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by simply lifting off of the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be recharged within three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two modes of operation including eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode prioritizes the power as well as cruise control and handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an unique experience for anyone that has never driven an electric vehicle before.

GreenPower provides a variety of other EVs which include a multi-purpose electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, transit or micro-transit vanpool, bus or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of old diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. This means they'll be eligible for federal assistance in transit. We will be following the AV Star as it begins its demonstration tour later this year. We'll be sure to provide more information on this innovative EV!
